Kashrus Control

Affirmative Control. Royal Palate is not the only place that has a full time kosher supervisor known as Mashgiach Timidi. The general theory is if he has the key to the building and food, he is in control and can decide for himself what to check and how to spend his time.

Royal Palate's mashgiach timidi is not just on the premises all the time, all his time is spent in direct, hands on control. Every item of food, or food contact material, coming in or out of the building is personally inspected by our mashgiach and that inspection is recorded and filed. While this serves its primary purpose of affirmative kashrus control, it is an integral part of our overall process control operation for product quality and wholesomeness.

In addition to merchandise moving in and out of the building, certain food operations, such as cracking eggs, cleaning leafy vegetables and lighting fires, require kashrus supervision. Not only does the mashgiach supervise those activities, he schedules when they are going to be done, or does them personally. This way he is in complete control and not just randomly checking what others really control.
